Cindy Gagliardi - New Move Massage Therapist

Meet Your Massage Therapist in Pittsfield, MA

Hi, I’m Cindy!

The Therapist Behind New Move Massage

I believe meaningful bodywork starts with feeling safe, supported, and truly heard.

At New Move Massage in Pittsfield, MA, I’ve created a massage and bodywork practice where your experience begins with you, not with a predetermined routine. Before we begin, I take time to understand what you have been experiencing, what you hope to get from your session, and how your body may be responding to stress, discomfort, injury, or the demands of everyday life.

Your body can feel different from one day to the next. Your massage should be able to adapt with it.

That philosophy guides the way I work and the environment I’ve created: calm, inclusive, intentional, and centered on helping you move better, feel better, and live better.

My Approach As A Massage Therapist

A Different Approach to Therapeutic Massage

My approach goes beyond simply finding a tight muscle and trying to make it relax.

Instead, I work with your body and pay attention to how it responds throughout your session. My goal is to create space for your body to settle, soften, and reconnect with movement in a way that feels supportive rather than forced.

Depending on your needs, my bodywork may incorporate therapeutic massage, myofascial techniques, somatic awareness, cranio-sacral techniques, breathwork, hot stones, cupping, guided exercises, movement, and intentional touch.

Not every technique is appropriate or necessary for every appointment. What matters is choosing an approach that makes sense for you that day.

This personalized method can be especially meaningful when you are navigating chronic pain, tension, limited mobility, stress, or changes in the way your body feels and moves.

heart on hand

Understanding Your Body Comes First

One of the most important parts of my work happens before the hands-on bodywork begins. I want to hear your concerns and understand your goals.

You might be looking for help with shoulder, neck, and back mobility, focused attention on a specific area, greater movement awareness, or simply restorative time away from the demands of your day.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what technique you need.

That is part of my role.

I listen, observe, and use my training to shape the session around what you share and how your body responds. This creates a more collaborative experience where you can ask questions, communicate preferences, and remain involved in your care.

Personalized Therapeutic Massage With Purpose

As a licensed massage therapist, I bring professional bodywork training together with an ongoing interest in movement, flexibility, and body awareness.

I am certified in Yoga Formability and Movement Certificate and as a Stretch and Flexibility Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

That background influences the way I approach massage therapy. Rather than viewing discomfort and movement as completely separate concerns, I consider how intentional bodywork, mobility, awareness, and restorative techniques can complement one another.

Every person responds differently, so I do not promise a specific outcome. My focus is on providing thoughtful, individualized care based on your needs and goals.

A Woman-Owned Practice Where You Can Feel Welcome

I founded New Move Massage in 2025 with a clear vision for the kind of experience I wanted to provide.

The environment matters just as much as the bodywork.

From the moment you arrive, my intention is for you to feel welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, communicating your boundaries, or simply enjoying quiet time to breathe.

New Move Massage is a woman-owned, inclusive practice serving people of all identities and experience levels. You do not need previous massage or movement experience to belong here.

My studio is designed to provide a calm setting where you can let some of the outside noise go and give yourself time for physical and mental restoration.
