Inner Return & Breathwork in Berkshire County, Massachusetts
Bodywork That Considers the Whole You
Your body does not exist separately from the rest of your life. Stress can show up as tension. Repetitive routines can affect how you move. Physical discomfort can make it harder to relax, while feeling mentally overwhelmed may influence how your body responds throughout the day.
At New Move Massage in Pittsfield, MA, I offer personalized holistic massage for clients throughout Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and within a 50-mile radius.
My approach considers you as a whole person rather than focusing only on one muscle, one area, or one symptom. I take time to understand what you are experiencing and what you want from your session before deciding how we will work together.
Your appointment may include therapeutic techniques, movement, somatic awareness, or quieter restorative work. The goal is to create a session that feels intentional and responsive to you.
What Does Holistic Massage Mean at New Move Massage?
For me, holistic massage means recognizing that movement, physical tension, stress, breath, body awareness, and restoration can be connected.
It does not mean following one specific massage routine.
Depending on your needs, I may incorporate therapeutic massage, Thai Massage, myofascial techniques, somatic awareness, cranio-sacral techniques, hot stones, cupping, breathwork, guided exercises, movement, and intentional touch.
Not every technique belongs in every session.
I select the approach according to what you share, your comfort, and how your body responds. Some appointments may involve more focused therapeutic bodywork, while others may benefit from slowing down and creating space for your body to settle.
The intention remains the same: to work with your body instead of forcing it into a predetermined experience.
Personalized Massage for Your Individual Needs
There is no requirement that you arrive with a specific problem.
You may schedule holistic bodywork because you are experiencing chronic pain, muscular tension, stiffness, limited mobility, or recurring discomfort. You might be feeling physically or mentally worn down and want dedicated time for restoration.
You may simply know that you want to feel more connected to your body.
Before beginning, I listen to your concerns and goals. You are welcome to ask questions, communicate preferences, or let me know when something needs to change.
I want you to feel involved in your bodywork rather than feeling like massage is simply being done to you.
That collaboration helps me adapt the session to where you are on that particular day.
My Approach
Finding Balance Between Movement and Stillness
Movement and stillness are both important parts of the philosophy behind New Move Massage.
There are times when your body may benefit from exploring how it moves. Guided exercises or movement-based techniques can create opportunities to notice mobility, sensation, or areas that feel restricted.
At other times, slowing down may be what you need most.
Stillness can provide space to notice your breathing, release some of the demands of your day, and reconnect with how your body feels.
A holistic massage session does not require choosing one or the other. Your experience can include both depending on your needs.
This balance supports the larger goal behind my practice: helping you move better, feel better, and live better through purposeful movement and intentional therapy.
Physical and Mental Restoration in a Calm Environment
The environment surrounding your massage matters.
I created New Move Massage as a place where you can step away from outside demands and give your body intentional attention. The atmosphere is calm and grounded, supporting both therapeutic work and quieter restoration.
New Move Massage is a woman-owned, inclusive practice welcoming clients of all identities and experience levels.
You do not need previous experience with massage, somatic practices, or guided movement. You also do not need to understand massage terminology or decide which modality you want before arriving.
Come as you are. We can begin with what you are experiencing.
Which New Move Massage Service May Be Right for You?
If holistic massage reflects what you are looking for, several services can provide personalized care.
New Move Method Bodywork offers 30-, 60-, 75-, and 90-minute sessions tailored to your needs. The 30-minute option is available to existing clients only and works well for focused spot treatment. New clients should book a longer session to allow enough time for a more comprehensive assessment and bodywork.
If you want to explore sensation, movement, and body awareness more deeply, the 120-minute Foundations Somatic Signature Session provides extended time for consultation, assessment, treatment planning, and individualized somatic bodywork.
For ongoing care, Continued Care Packages provide either three or six 60-minute sessions.
Your goals can help determine which approach makes the most sense.
